Laura Turner Seydel is an international environmental advocate and eco-living expert dedicated to creating a healthy and sustainable future for our children. She is the chairperson of the Captain Planet Foundation which promotes hands-on environmental education projects worldwide. She is a director of and works with the Environmental Working Group to limit the toxic chemicals in food, air, water and consumer products. In 2004 she co-founded Mothers and Others for Clean Air and is currently the Chair of the Board, and in 1994 she and her husband co-founded Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. Heather White is the Executive Director of the Environmental Working Group (EWG.) She is a nationally-recognized expert on federal environmental law and policy and a campaign strategist with more than 15 years experience. EWG, the nation’s most effective environmental advocacy organization, uses game-changing, original research to help individuals, businesses, and governments make better decisions to protect public health and the environment. White guides EWG’s policy positions, advocacy strategies, manages EWG’s three offices and oversees the engagement of EWG’s 1.3 million online supporters.
